“I Feel Good!” Training in Vinci, Italy

From September 11th to 16th, 2024, Lorelei Youth Centre had the pleasure of participating in the second part of the training course “I Feel Good!” held in Vinci, Italy. This initiative, hosted by Associazione Agrado APS, brought together youth workers from 5 different countries to explore innovative tools for promoting self-care and well-being in youth work.

About the Training

The training aimed to foster personal development through non-formal education and to empower youth workers with creative methods for enhancing well-being in their communities. During the 4-day program, participants worked in small groups to design and facilitate workshops focused on mental health, self-care, and personal growth. It was a unique opportunity to not only learn but to collaborate and form lasting connections for future Erasmus+ projects.

The Venue

Set in the peaceful Tuscan countryside, Vinci—the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci—offered the perfect backdrop for creativity and reflection. The training took place in a charming rural house surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, fostering a deep sense of community and connection. Without Wi-Fi, participants had the chance to fully immerse themselves in the experience, reconnecting with nature and each other.

Vinci, a small historic town in Tuscany, is easily accessible from nearby cities like Florence and Pisa. Participants traveled to Empoli train station, where the organizers warmly greeted them for the final 10-minute drive to the venue.

A New Beginning

This second part of the “I Feel Good!” training built on the first phase held in Klaipeda, Lithuania, in January 2024. We are thrilled to have been part of such a creative and supportive space. The methods and connections we developed will certainly contribute to our ongoing work at Lorelei Youth Centre and beyond. We can’t wait to apply what we learned to future projects and continue collaborating with the wonderful participants we met.

A huge thank you to Associazione Agrado APS for hosting and to all our fellow youth workers for making this experience unforgettable!

✨ Stay tuned for more updates from our international projects!
