What is Lorelei ?

Lorelei is inspired by a place known for its beauty and mystery. According to legend, a mermaid named Lorelei once sang songs that drew sailors into the river’s dangerous waters.

For us, Lorelei represents more than a story, it’s a reminder of the connection between people and the natural world.

We chose the name Lorelei because it reflects our belief in connection and transformation. Just as the legend brought people’s attention to something powerful, we aim to bring people together, build meaningful relationships, and create a positive impact in our communities.

At Lorelei, we believe in the strength of community and the value of shared experiences. Together, we can inspire change and make a difference in the way people connect and grow.

Reflecting on Our Journey: From Student Project to Lorelei Youth Centre

Years ago, while pursuing my master’s degree in Business Management at Paris Saclay University, we were assigned a group project by our Project Management professor. The challenge was to organize an event in Paris, sparking a series of engaging discussions within our team. Together, we decided to host an art exhibition in Montparnasse, partnering with one of the oldest business schools in Paris, Sup De Vente et Management.

Here’s the result of our successful project, which marked the beginning of Lorelei Youth Centre

We eagerly announced our call for artists, inviting submissions that celebrated cultural diversity. The response was nothing short of overwhelming! Artists from all backgrounds came forward to showcase their incredible paintings, photographs, and poetry.
This experience opened my eyes to the challenges young artists in Paris face in finding affordable spaces to exhibit their work. It ignited a passion within me to create a supportive platform for emerging talents, ultimately leading to the establishment of Lorelei Youth Centre.
