Youth Work Meets Theatre: Exploring Conflict Through Creativity

From the snowy forests of Likani πŸ‡¬πŸ‡ͺ to the green hills of Dilijan πŸ‡¦πŸ‡², I had the opportunity to participate in both parts of the Erasmus+ project “Youth Workers Go to Theatre” β€” a powerful experience that combined applied theatre, Nonviolent Communication, and psychodrama to address youth work challenges in the post-pandemic era.

Over the course of two immersive training courses (Feb & June 2025), 30 youth workers from πŸ‡¦πŸ‡² πŸ‡¬πŸ‡ͺ πŸ‡πŸ‡Ί πŸ‡·πŸ‡΄ πŸ‡«πŸ‡· πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ came together to:
βœ”οΈ Transform conflicts into opportunities for growth
βœ”οΈ Practice empathy, active listening & self-awareness
βœ”οΈ Learn and apply theatre methods like Theatre of the Oppressed
βœ”οΈ Design and deliver non-formal workshops
βœ”οΈ Build a cross-border community of practice

This experience deepened my understanding of mental health, peaceful communication, and the role of art as a tool for transformation β€” both for young people and those who guide them.🌿 Special thanks to EMINA Foundation and all partner organisations for making this possible. Now it’s time to bring this energy to our local communities πŸ’«
